Katie Montague is a Senior Associate at O’Keefe. Ms. Montague specializes in preparing complex financial analyses for use in litigation support assignments, including shareholder disputes, automotive recalls, and breach of contract matters. She also provides strategic advisory services to struggling companies, most recently serving as a financial advisor to the creditor committee for a large bankruptcy filing in Wayne County. Ms. Montague also has experience in forensic accounting and preparing valuations for estate planning.
Prior to joining O’Keefe, Ms. Montague served as assistant controller for a $1 billion tier one auto-supplier. She began her career in public accounting as an auditor servicing privately held middle-market companies in various industries, including manufacturing, construction, financial services, and nonprofits.
Ms. Montague earned her Master of Science in Accounting from Michigan State University and her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, with honors, from Western Michigan University. Ms. Montague is licensed by the State of Michigan as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). She is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
Ms. Montague is a member of the Detroit Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA). She will serve as Chair of the TMA Network of Women (NOW) committee beginning in July 2019 and is currently a member of the TMA Programming committee. Ms. Montague is also a member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and serves on ACG’s Women Forum committee.
