Introducing M&A Bootcamp 2013 Webinar Series by Financial Poise and Accredited CLE Partner West LegalEdcenter

Financial Poise, a division of DailyDAC, LLC, specializing in providing continuing education to business owners, accredited investors, attorneys, and other trusted advisors and West LegalEdcenter, a Thomson Reuters business, introduce M&A Bootcamp 2013 Webinar Series to the CLE programming line-up.

Back by popular demand, this series will take the non-seasoned M&A professional junior lawyers, junior investment bankers, and C-level executives through an introductory program on the basic fundamental concepts of mergers and acquisitions. Panelists will explain what basic deal documents look like and discuss some of the most common points of contention they run into when representing buyers and sellers.

We are excited to welcome back speakers from Kirkland & Ellis and Jones Day, said Amanda Florip, a director with Financial Poise. We’re also introducing a number of non-lawyers to our panel who will bring a whole different perspective to the conversations around M&A.

The first episode of the M&A Bootcamp 2013 Webinar Series, Fundamental Concepts Part I will premiere on March 1, 2013. If you are new to the world of M&A you don’t want to miss this discussion on basic M&A transaction structures, shareholder approval, indemnification, and more. The expert panel will include:

— Gerald Nowak, partner at Kirkland & Ellis — Kevin Hororka, partner at Crowe Horwath — Robert Khedouri, entrepreneur and private investor — Stephen Gillette, partner at Jones Day

Fundamental Concepts Part II, the second episode of the series, will be held on March 8th. During this webinar, panelists will discuss the basic fundamentals from earn-out provisions and intellectual property issues, to employment and financing issues. The expert panel will include:

— Daniel Mitz, partner at Jones Day — Gerald Nowak, partner at Kirkland & Ellis — Kevin Hororka, partner at Crowe Horwath

The third episode of the series, titled Process, is scheduled for March 15th. This episode will cover basic deal documents such as, confidentiality agreements, letters of intent and term sheets, as well as, take a look at the closing and post-closing tasks. The expert panel includes:

— Craig Mordock, partner at Jones Day — David Distel, partner at O’Keefe — Keith Crowe, partner at Kirkland & Ellis

On March 22nd, the fourth episode of the series, Special Issues in Special Transactions, will take place. The Expert panel will focus on specific issues that arise with transactions involving the acquisition of a distressed business, an IP heavy business, and a professional service firm. Speakers include:

The final episode of the M&A Bootcamp 2013 series, Buyer v. Seller Perspectives Negotiating the Deal will be held on March 29th. This webinar will bring together all that was discussed in the prior episodes of this series. Panelists will battle it out through a mock negotiation session that will highlight key concepts discussed in earlier episodes. The expert panel includes:
